That's What it seems like to me.

Just like that game on The Price is Right, Plinko.
The plinko lands where it does because of everything that influenced it on the way down. Including the person dropping it, the temperature, the noise from the crowd, the pegs that it comes into contact with, etc.

By the have you read much about the butterfly effect? I don't know your background and can't assume anything. I've only read a little about it, but I think it relates to this example.
