Ah ha.


My words are being used against me. To clarify then:

Just because something can be called a machine in the way it functions, does not mean that it was created in a determined or intentional fashion, as in a creator.

The school program I speak of called us machines, not robots which, by the word Carel Capek coined, means an artificially built servant or slave.

Please refer to the dictionary definition of a machine for further clarification:

"4. An intricate natural system or organism, such as the human body."

When I said, "determinism be damned", I meant that we exist, colloqiually speaking, as machines. And as to the idea that such "machines" as ourselves were intentionally designed by a creator, "determinsim be damned!"

If you want to say that we were intentionally created by a determined source, then it is up to you to provide evidence. If you cannot, then you are saying it without reason, rationale, or justification, and that means you are a bare faced liar.

Or, at best, an easy and gullible mark.
