The people in Ethiopia and Erytrea might do many things ... agreeing with you isn't one of them.
Their problems primarily stem from a cascade. It starts with overpopulation, too many people for the resources, that leads to wars, that destroy crops and take farmers from their fields, that lead to poverty and starvation.
Of course a bit of bad weather doesn't help. But, put very simply, giving these people money or food is not the solution. On that we seem to agree.
