It must be nice to be able to read a book or two and know that one is a profound expert therefore. I've never had that luxury. When I read a scholarly tome it only serves to spur me on to learn more, because I know that now I know a little more than I did and that there is much more to learn.
There are many kinds of ignorance; the two most lethal are willful and blissful.
I alwys think it's good to reach at least the level of informed ignorance, myself. Keeps me out of lot of trouble, and keep my car on the road. And with nearly a dozen inches of snow on the ground and more to be expected, I've been boning up on my practical physics, too. It's amazing how many people do not realize that linear momentum can be transformed into angular momentum in milliseconds with the flick of a wrist in a low-friction environment.:-)
