Feo: life is organic machine

Re: life is organic machine (Uncle Al)

No counter examples per se, just some semantics. As a kid in school, during science class, we watched a documentary called THE INCREDIBLE MACHINE, which was all about the human body and its functions.

Afterward we were tested on it.

Afterward I started to notice biologists, doctors, and others refer to every life form as some kind of fascinating or wonderful machine.

They had probably always been saying it, but it wasn't until after I saw that program that I noticed just how MUCH they were saying it. I think I can safely say that the majority of the bio science community refers to, or knows respected collegues that refer to, various life forms as machines, determinism be damned.

~~~~~~
you right...
and they are determined, too
humans are determined to be human, fish are fish, bacteria are bacteria, and birds are birds...as are their respective progeny...every single time :-)
happy new year, boyzngoylz
