Re: This is the seed that will spawn Big Brother (Amaranth Rose)

AR: As the resident geek would say, "If you'd use Linux, you wouldn't have to worry about the problem". There wouldn't be a problem. Windows is buggy and made to be virused. Linux isn't.

Bull. It's bull because if everyone used Linux rather than MS, Linux would be the primary target. But why would people use Linux rather than Microsoft? Microsoft is far more appealing because it is far more novice-user-friendly, on several levels, some of which having little or nothing to do with the actual interface. In order for Linux to garner MS’s market share, it would have to incorporate the bells and whistles that make MS so popular. So not only would the 'bugginess' of Linux rise in (either direct or exponential) proportion to those additions, but so would the virus vulnerabilities of it as well as the hacker attacks against it.

Oh, BTW, the paranoia you expressed concerning the 'list' to which you referred in the original post seemed a bit over-the-top, if not altogether loony. Perhaps you should justify your position. Otherwise, I’ll just assume your prescription needs refilling. You might want to take Patsi to the pharmacy with you.
