You are clearly an intelligent and articulate person and you make your rage and frustration very clear. I agree that ending up in a storage facility / nursing home is worse than death and if I was faced with such an existence I'd opt out as well.
But not before then. There's too much going on, too many new developments that might change everything. I'd wait til the last possible moment.
