Re: Feo: Grand Canyon (Feo Amante)

Ooh. I'm impressed. You used the word "diatribe." That should distract people from considering the facts.

I'm about as "liberal" at Ghengis Khan. From where I stand it is you that is the radical, liberal, revisionist.

Think you are a conservative? Converative meaning that you think we should do things the way the founding fathers two hundred plus years ago wanted them done? Well then tell us that you fully support the 1797 Treaty of Tripoli signed by the then President of the United States (can you remember who that was ... probably to you someone that would be totally unAmerican liberal) and ratified by the US Senate. Specifically read Article 11.

Heck you won't put in the effort to look it up so I'll include a link and quote the document for those of you that don't want to find it on the web.

"As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion,-as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Musselmen,-and as the said States never have entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mehomitan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries."

The term "Musselmen" today is "Muslim".

There you go Mr. Faux-Conservative ... acknowledge that "the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion."

The sense of excitement awaiting your response is raising my cardiac level to the equivalent of a 2 mile run.
