basically I am asking for a little guidance so I don't practice bad science on my own.
I found some conversion tables, but again any nudges in the right direction would be appreciated.
I can convert BTUs to Joules to degrees in some form. The problem I see it the conductive factors of what the water absorbs and the cement/ground as well, but still discounting the heat from the power plant itself, 700 megawatts is flashing down high power lines to do "work" and cause heat of its own elsewhere (diffusing the heat impact, I understand that).
