Consider that it would be cheaper, by almost a magnitude, to go to Mars had we not gone to Iraq.
And the cost in lives was higher too. We lose 7 astronauts and it is a tragedy. 500+ men and women die protecting a morons ability to get re-elected and we cut back Veteran's benefits and their children's education. Makes a fellow proud.
