I like that description. I didn't think much of the paragraphs that followed. Solar/wind are a sore substitute for coal/oil/NG. They are all dismal substitutes for nuclear. Auxiliary sources will always be necessary simply because of the nature (read technological drawbacks) to nuclear but they need only be 'auxiliary', certainly not primary.

Except for the political drawbacks to nuclear power (past, present and likely future), we would already be independent from an energy standpoint. I think that energy-derived pollution (in the real sense rather than the political) would also be all but nonexistent.

But alas, that is not to be anytime soon. The far-left, working diligently, if not knowingly, for the likes of Haliburton, will see to it that energy-independence remains but a pipe dream. Same goes for solar and wind
