The entire concept of killing anything is ridiculous as there is nothing alive to kill.
The simple solution is to treat the root cause and not the symptom.
Decrease the human population on this planet and we no longer have resource shortages.
Of course we no longer have transportation issues, ecological issues, energy issues, etc. Why is it no one ever discusses over-population as the cause? Because financial interests can't make as much money off a smaller number of people. Heck they might even stop fighting wars and who knows what else.
