Re: Donor bodies blown up for army tests (Amaranth Rose)

This reminds me of a 2-word very dry joke:army intelligence (no offense intended to the army of any articular country - the joke has international validity).

Jokes aside, why bodies to test footwear?
This puzzles me, since it seems to me more than dumb. Why would a body be better than a dummy rigged with sensors, when it comes to such tests?

I am no expert in these matters, but I see no reason, save stupidity, to use dead bodies.Once they have been embalmed and prepared for "safe keeping",after a few days in the fridge, even after the rigor mortis disappears, the properties/characteristics of a dead body are different from that of a living body.So similarity to the "real McCoy" doesn't seem to be a criterion for using dead bodies in such tests.
