Re: God NOT out of the equation in evolution (Amaranth Rose)

"Science over the door. Yes, for some it is a beacon, for others it says "molest here"."

Yep,this wuld be the ideea

"I learned about Baba Yaga the same place I learned about medicine and particle Physics: my mother's knee. Just because I'm an American doesn't mean I'm uncouth. :-) My personal culture is spun of many threads."

Sorry, no rudeness or offense intended.I was just curious, you don't see this everyday.Do you know what Baba Yaga means? "Baba" stands for the rather irreverentious, but without malice in most contexts, "old woman".Something like old cot (again, without any intended malice in using it), I can't find a more appropriate translation.

"In regards to your Easter story, there is much I might say, but I think a comment made by one of my Baptist friends sums it up best of all. She said, "It's sure easy enough to tell who wears the Christianity in that family!"

I guess she is right.

"And the piercing look? Don't tell anyone else, but they send prospective brides to school to learn how to do that...."

You may be right, I don't know. But I can tell you this:the wife of the guy was wearing much more than the Cristianity in the family, believe me,because I've seen her.

I don't want to sound discriminatory or anything like that, but a physionomy like hers - rahter tall, slender, sitting with the knees together and with a very straight back, and very stiff when standing, thin and rather tight lips, voluntary jaw, hair in a severe bun at the back, dressed in a white blouse and black skirt - is the archetype of the woman you don't exactly want to cross unless your life depends on it.And even then, there might be mitigating circumstances...
Add a pair of thin rectangular glasses, and the piercing look over those glasses, and suddenly you realize that you could have sent her to Irak instead of the US army...She was what one would call a whole army by herself.
