I stand alone without beliefs. Reality is objective. Belief is of no consequence, not mine, not yours, not anyone's. Belief is what people use when they run out of rational explanations for natural events, or to excuse themselves for actions they take against others whom they can convince themselves are not like them.
The problem here is that there is no profit in the work, so no-one is motivated to prosecute it.
