Savings millions of Asian children from blindness (or from anything) each year is not the point. Ideological purity is the point. Remember what Mother Teresa said to her minions screaming in pain on their deathbeds,

"Pain is Christ kissing you."

Millions of blinded Asians are god's Christian message of salvation and love. Who are you to deny the godhead?
