Re: God NOT out of the equasion in evolution (Pasti)

Bad grammar, bad manners, stupidity...Shrugs. Abusing other people would be right up there in my list, along with not knowing when to render unto Caesar what is Caesar's, and unto God what is holy. When the sign over the door says "Bar" or "Pub" we can expect to find alcohol served inside. When the sign over the door says "Grocery Store" we expect to find food. What I don't understand is, when the sign over Science-a-go-go's door clearly says "Science", why do people keep walking in and firing religio-pseudoscientific dung bombs around the place and complaining about the clientelle? I for one know where the church is. There are even a couple that would welcome me, which is saying something. I don't come here to exercise my mysticism, thank you very much; I come here to meet Science people and talk Science which in no way conflicts with my religious proclivities, which in turn do not hinder my ethics and morals and vice versa. Once in a while when I have nothing better to do I even correct spelling mistakes.

Telling people they're going to go to Hell for talking about Science is one step away from frightening little children with stories about Baba Yaga, Vlad the Impaler and the boogey man. Sooner or later they realize it was all just one big fat line of lies. The moment your person that you've been terrorizing discovers the truth for themselves, they are free and you are in trouble big time. Empty threats are like the boogey man; when you stop believing in them they can't hurt you.

Now, if I see a little hut running around the forest on chicken legs, I might reconsider.
