No Measurement, that's what we have now. I'm thinking that artificial replacement parts of metal and plastic will be replaced by organic parts. Not simply better artificial machines, but parts made from the individual's own body.
The above link points to one way to do it, but there are others. I'm thinking that organic replacement parts, and the corollary technology that could be derived from that - artificially created organic machinery - is where the future will take us. Unlike a Borg society poorly meshing together lifeless inorganic parts with living organic ones.
