Re: New Apollo Panoramas (Mike Constantine)

Apollo was an amazing achievement - all the more so for having been largely done with slide rules. Lunar real estate is valuable for its position - low EMF noise; hard vacuum; low-gee large aperture instrument platform and launch base. The moon as stuff is entirely worthless.

In the 1960s a large one-use heavy lifter was the economical way to get to the moon. Nothing has changed in the 2000s. The Space Scuttle is a dysfunctional abomination.
