I could certainly understanding giving eggs to a family member (never sell), where you don't loose touch with a child.
In a world full of orphans, many starving to death, maybe they could consider adoption?
And does screening exclude genetic abnormalities, hiden addictions, or worse? As I recall there was one Morman clinic where all his patients received his sperm (not by arrangement - he wasn't exactly prime material) and the consequences. When I was at Uni back on the 70's it was common practice for students to sell sperm - regularly. Some of them are now being called on to 'participate', which they hadn't planned on ... just wanted the money.
There are choices, many of them. But to each his/her own, except the child of course, whom has to accept any and all possible circumstances, come what may.
