I know kids in middle-school that apply more synaptic power to questions of science than you do.

It must take either massive amounts of drugs or blunt object trauma to be so incapable of reasoned thinking.

The expanding balloon is an analogy for children. And even with that analogy children are capable of realizing that things on a balloon's surface can still move around and collide with each other.

If you weren't as scary as the Spanish Inquisition I'd actually feel some sympathy for you.
