Re: Can anyone help with genetics question (Nuno Bento)

You appear sincere so let me go out on a limb here.

Homeopathic medicine is a lie and I can not only prove it, but I can allow the people who promote it to hang themselves with their own rope.

First off, no one knows what is a "junk mutation" hereditary diseases that limit life in one environment, extend it in another. Sickle Cell Anemia comes to mind. If you have it, you aren't susceptible to Malaria.

Mutation is good - but by nature - it is random.

And water which retains the "spirit" of the medicine (unprovable by any yard stick including those who promote such tripe).

And of course, mutations can and are influenced by much more than just viruses or microbes or living parasites of any type.

Mutation is necessary for both evolution and our survival. Junk mutations? At this moment we honestly don't know what most of those are. For a fact, there are no homeopathic remedies that can honestly make the claim that they can remove "junk mutations" from the ladder without affecting genetic stability. So if they can't honestly say that, then what are they saying?

There are a lot of very good books on genetics, but because this field is undergoing some dynamic research right now, I'm no longer up on what books out there may be the best to read. Perhaps others here can set you on a good path.

One thing, very major thing to remember in regards to homeopathic medicine and real science. In the past 100+ years of homeopathic medicine, they've yet to make a single advance to better health or longer life. Science based medicines and discoveries have made thousands. This is why, a century later, we live 40 years longer. No thanks to homeopathic anything.
