Re: A New Variation of Mad Cow Disease, Found? (Mike Kremer)

This is what happens when you feed your cows ground up cows.

The best part is? They didn't discover it until AFTER they were slaughtered. (More worrying, although the cattle were old, they had no visible symptoms of BSE and were only diagnosed after routine slaughter.)

OF COURSE, it's no new cause for worry. ("It's probably another 'don't worry' observation but it does deserve some study," Brown said in a telephone interview. "There is no reason to suppose it might show up in human beings in some weird form.")
... No... It'll just eat holes on your brain like the regular brand of mad cow. Nothing to worry about. Nooo. No biggie.

I do think with proper spin-doctoring this could be used to force people to eat healthier though. At least people can't catch chicken flu. Yet. Wonder when some brilliant specimen of humanity will figure out you can grind up chicken and dry it out and feed it to your chickens, just to keep the diseases interesting, you know. Mad Chicken Disease. Has a nice ring to it, no?
