I stumbled across them while researching for a novel. I thought they were indeed very interesting, though at the time I was looking for a very precious stone to use to put a black field in a gem mosaic of mostly emeralds and white diamonds. They're expensive little suckers, as befits their rarity and unique character.
Lest someone decide to rob my house, the precious gem mosaic is purely fictional, and in a galaxy far, far away. It is, however, a stunningly beautiful garment made and owned by a unique individual. If I ever get the book published I'll let you know.
