Re: A 2500-milewide Diamond in Space? (Amaranth Rose)

Well well well, I never knew that Amaranth. In fact I've never heard of Black Diamonds from space before. Interesting, it seems they are only found at five sites around the world. The latest find was in Siberia Russia near a town called Yakute in 1966, and are called Yakutite there.
Everywhere else they are called Carbonado diamonds
Since they are never found in Kimberlite pipes, they might well have a space/meteorite origin?
Thanks for your original info.
