I think you will find that any two or more nuclei can be forced to fuse and therefore produce more energy than what was required to produce the fusion in the first place.
Even Hydrogen which must exist as a metal within the sun. Metals conduct electricity and produce the huge magnetic field that the sun has. Even molten glass (silica) conducts electricity.
You are lucky the Sun is as big as it is, and able to constrain every sort of nuclear reaction immaginable within its core, using both pressure and magnetic fields.
If it were not it would blow you and I to oblivion
