The message is "humanity cannot deal with naked people." The plaque is bowdlerized. Any outworlder who comes upon it is going to wonder why the gal is missing her genitalia. Either that, or we will be invaded withe expectations of finding a planet populated by Barbie dolls.

They should have etched photos of naked Bella Abzug and Edward Kennedy. That would have kept the BEMs away.

There is a metallized phonograph record aboard each craft. Give it another century and even Earth will be unable to play it. What conclusions do we draw?

Sigh.
