No, I suspect his bias is geared more toward the culture than the race, and more to the point, toward religion as a whole.

I disagree but would submit that it is the combination of religion and culture that does them in.

Sounds to me he's equating Islam with willful ignorance. I tend to agree more than not, but I hold that opinion of Baptists and Buddhists too, but to a lesser degree.
