Re: Recent Earthquakes (Thomas anon ymous)

While its just possible that more earthquakes could come about due to the release of surface weight, from melting snow and glaciers.
But the present number of earthquakes seem to be centered around the Middle East, mainly in Turkey and now in Iran.
The subduction and techtonic plates move, about as
fast as your finger nails grow. Which makes for thousands of tiny quakes world wide, releasing the strains in rocks 3-5 miles deep.

Its just possible that the large earthquakes in Turkey and Iran have come about due to the lack of deep water, a lubricant, in those areas.

and the diverting of rivers?
(Just and idea of mine)

But they are not going to go away. As the Earth cools and contracts, the continental masses floating on the top are constantly repositioning themselves.

Hopefully, its volcanic activity (pollution)that should lessen as the Earth ages and cools.
