I('m not Jewish, and I recoil in horror from such images. The first time I ever set foot in a Catholic church and saw these grisly images displayed so prominently and vividly it gave me nightmares for weeks. One might make the argument that I might be unduly susceptible to nightmares, but I wonder how these things affect people who grow up seeing them from birth. No wonder there is so little reaction to murder and bloodshed in our society; people have been desensitized to it from birth. People who worship a bleeding, mutilated god can scarcely be expected to turn a hair at murdering and maiming their own species. Indeed it might seem natural to them, seeing the example they have set before them once a week, every week.
