By saying that "They can't all be right" I refer to their own hype, whereas each faction claims that theirs is the best energy source for all the right reasons.
All equally good all equally best? Surely not. Sounds more like mindless cheerleader prattle to hear it.
Even you admit that nuclear has its drawbacks, although the one you refer to involves our current method of harnessing (engineering) the source and not the source itself. There are other methods and breeder reactors work far better than what we are using in the U.S. (Or is my knowledge of the subject now outdated?)
So one source isn't right for everything and some will have more drawbacks than others, depending on what you expect from it.
Note: to any that may jump on this thread and start yapping about the all energy that could be obtained by converting any form of matter to energy, blah, blah, blah. Yes. No kidding. We know. We our talking current tech and what is possible right now.
If there is a section on Monsanto where they talk about the GM nutritive value of their foods, I haven't found it yet. They are involved in both biotech - an umbrella that covers more than just genetic modification - and breeding. They've upped the content of Omega-3 in their soybeans, but that isn't necc. a result of GM and they don't say it is (Chicken farms are breeding foul with a high content of Omega-3 in their eggs. No genetic tampering involved.). The only thing they lay claim to, in regards to actual GM, is the following:
