help me on my coursework please!! (hardness of water)

I need help (but i guess you knew that) working out the correlation between volume of soap solution required to make a lather and the hardness of the water (in ppm CaCO3). Could someone tell me what it is???
By the way, on the label of the bottle of soap solution it says:

1ml = 1mg = 1% CaCO3
