IN response to fundamentalists regarding DSS

THe bible was translated into Greek by the Jews. Jesus used the Greek translation of the Old Testament and it is the same old testament used by the Roman Catholic chuch and Eastern Orthodox churches today. In 70 ad, a few decades after Christ's death, the Jews, in response to the growth of Christianity amongst Jews in the middle east, decided to put together a bible. They only included books that were in hebrew and they could not find surviving hebrew versions of a few greek translations.. The dead sea scrolls reveal that there were in fact hebrew versions available. Christianity did not follow the post Jesus Jews. They continued to use the same greek old testament that Jesus did. That is until Martin Luther supposedly "inspired by the holy spirit" removed these books to conform to the jewish standard and to remove obvious contradictions with his personal beliefs. ie.purgetory ( which is clearly shown in the old testament jesus used)..Protestants should know that their bible is heretical. THe dead sea scrolls show that the Jews were wrong to remove certain books from the bible because there were infact hebrew translations available. So martin luther was misguided by removing them himself..also martin luther tried to remove other books..such as james than put them back in..THe "holy spirit" was all over the place on this one..Martin Luther was not inspired..And while i agree that the church needed to clean up its act in reformation times..Protestant theology is heretical..and every protestant argument against christiantiy can be disproven..by traditionm history and scripture.
