ok, I think my confusion started when I imagined an atom under strong gratitional forces on a huge planet. I imagined it being "weighted down" for want of a better description. When I should view them instead as being accellerated more. That brings back the affect of the motion aspect of time dilation rather than some dampening down mechanism which I had falsely imagined. Another cloud dispersed, and a need to understand exactly about transition frequencies.
