The most facinating part of that article is where it states:-
"This force, unlike most others in nature, becomes stronger as the distance between the two quarks increases"

That is a totally unexpected finding. This is contrary to all our usual thinking processes.
I been wracking my brain to think as to how this could work. Got no idea. Prehaps its an as yet undiscovered 'elastic' force?
Two particles where the forces between them become stronger as they are separated? Amazing!!

I have thought of an analogy......they must be similar to an elastic band when stretched?
Could this same "stretched" force also effect gravity? Be the reason for the faster expansion of the universe, the further out we look, the stronger the gravity attractions become between distant objects?

Bet we going to hear more about this enigma.
