Tegmark makes the assumption, and I think a false one, that an infinite number of possibilities truly means that somewhere else there is at every instant a Will Shakespeare writing the exact same works in the exact same language with only a single byte of information different.
That assumption is not only unsupported but strikes me as being almost theological rather than scientific.
