But Paul got it from the Romans, who got it from the Greeks. (P was a Greek-speaking Roman citizen.) It's wisdom that is thousands of years old.

Bottom line? It's time-tested and a great way to live. Keep balanced. "Scientificity" and "Religiosity" are as much unhealthy exaggerations as are Ignorance and Cynicism.
