You have posed a very thought provoking question
Eduardo, when you say:-
"....You do not believe it is possible for the universe to revolve. I mean, think about it, revolve in relation to what?"*Very good point...difficult to refute.
A/Since the Universe implies-Nothing external, as
a reference point.
B/Then again our Hubble can only trace out a visual sphere of the universe. A sphere limited in distance, by its light collecting power.
C/We, and therefore the picture we obtain, are nowhere near the center of the universe.
D/So it seems the questions are unanswerable.BUT...since every object in our known spherical universe revolves (say anti-clockwise, as Hubble see's it).Its more than possible that everything would revolve the same way, were Hubble (us) be placed on the other side of the center of our universe. It would be very difficult indeed to state that the resultant torques of all those galaxies in motion would NOT have an effect upon the total inertia of the universe.
That could well imply that our universe IS revolving about its own center (wherever that might be)PS. I do agree that the oblate spheroid as depicted to show the "afterglow of the Big Bang"
Afterglow
is a plot, based upon our local Galatic co-ordinates.
