I find it fascinating that we invest so much money in trying to extend life on one end while still allowing so many to die horrible deaths as children from malaria, and other diseases.

Plenty of money to do both, although I'm hesitant to "curing" all diseases, since they have a tendency to become even meaner to compensate.
