Survival of the fittest - right? May seem like a shame but perhaps this just simply confirms or satisfies the process of evolution. Another animal will evolve and come into being that will fill the gap left by the missing herds. OR - perhaps this particular animal is the one that was there for a reason - and we should respect and care about the balance for a reason? Just wondering...
