I have a Spanish friend who STILL has a slight residual effect from Bell's palsy which he contracted after a bout of heavy flue, some six years ago. His doctor said that it would 'cure itself in time'. Many months later he sought advice at the local hospital, -he was prescribed an antibiotic (inner ear infection?) which he said helped his Bells p more than any other treatment he previously had.
