I hope such a hybrid won't ever be attempted.
Such a human/chimp hybrid would undo and turn back human evolution a million years or so.
Again, would a chimp/human hybrid advance the evolutionary status of the chimp?
It would seem to me that the public would rather accept a straightforward cloning of a human being than this type of hybrid horror?
And yet I seem to remember the "Shoat" --supposed to be a cross between a Sheep and a Goat?
Did that confere any evolutionary advantage?
