Well, DA.. I like you.. You are one of the good ppl. And there is one thing I did want to find out without having to experiment with it. That is of the platinum / H2O2 / clear tube / screen / and mist spray thing. You just answered it.
Platinum wire costs $5 per inch, I just found out. And the most likely very degraded H2O2 which I have in my freezer, put together may react explosively. Oh... and yes, sir... If I were to drop an inch of wire into a vile of such solution, I would be exceedingly foolish. If i were however, to put a drop of it on a dish, and THEN touch the wire to the solution on the dish, I'd get a very minimal reaction which would be a much more safe experiment. In fact, I'd rather try it first with the store version 3%, just to see if that reacts at all, the same way. I'd use safety glasses, too, of course. And I would not do it alone. And i would not do it in a small room. And I'd document my procedure.
Then I'd pour gasoline all over myself and light that, just to see what happens........ NOT!
But realistically, DA. I do appreciate your insight. I think I can sleep again, now.
