For all of his self-proclaimed mental horsepower ... Uncle Al still views this planets ecological system through monochrome classes that do not permit in shades of gray.
If one ecological claim is overstated OR invalid therefore all are overstated AND invalid. Thus he throws in your face arguments that address other issues rather than the issue at hand.
Why? Because he hasn't a clue as to whether there has been gross overfishing of some or many species.
Some of the time Al is correct some of the time he is not. But the complexity of there being some real issues in a sea of false issues is too much for his ability to cope. Thus he sums over all variables rather than evaluating the value of each individually
Translation: This may be real, it may not be, it wouldn't matter to Uncle Al ... he is too busy throwing around his atitude rather than his aptitude.
