Let's tackle the biggest problems first. How many "endangered species" listed in Rachel Carson's 1962 "Silent Spring" are still sponging off the publick exchequer 40 years later? ALL of them. Kill 'em off and let's get on with it.

Capitalism brutally expunged 6000 varieties of apples (page 12, January/February 1996 Sierra magazine, "The supermarket is an ideal venue for eater activism"). Would the Sierra Club tell a lie? Do you think there were ever 6000 varieties of apples during the whole persistence of planet Earth from original accretion to late this morning? Riiiight.
