unethical behavour is no less among scientists, as a group, than most other groups...
although i will grant you might be right about "particularly politicians, [some] businessmen, [and] lawyers" :-)
Do you think your claims should be believed just because you make them?
no...do you think your claims should be believed just because you make them :-)
(say, why is it that you can just say stuff and others can't, eh :-)
i think that all scientific/philosophical claims should be tested in so far as we are able
i am in many ways a skeptic
i am not anti science; i am very pro science
i spend a considerble amout of time studying science, doing science, and being around scientists (most of whom are evolutionary guyzngalz :-)...it doesn't stop us from being friends and some of them, for what should be pretty obvious reasons, are unaware of my creationary world view
i am anti evolutionary philosophy
i am anti junk science; evolutionary philosophy is phony philosophy and junk science
i am anti scientism
i claim that scientists are not and never can be purely objective...that we are subjective and imperfect...and i say we because i am a practicing scientist
being a part of that group and at times guilty of the some of the very same things that i find faulty in others of that group in no way prevents me from bashing it for its many erroneous shortcomings
i am also a part of that group that we refer to as academia and at times guilty of the some of the very same things that i find faulty in others of that group but neither does that in any way prevent me from bashing that group for its many shortcomings
and i enjoy the benefits of decent science with a clear conscience and many times stand in considerable awe of what decent science, real science is capable of accomplishing
