Step one:
Wait x-million (or hundred-thousand, "they" don't seem to have decided yet) years.

Step two:
Allow the sun to inflate into a Red Giant.

Mission accomplished, who's buying tonight?

In the meantime we might work on "Dr. Strangelove" style doomsday weapons to erradicate all human life, just to be on the safe side.
