That's out of line and not very respectful to the Israei pilot or any of these astronauts , the space shuttle program has been International for a long time, the reason for the incident is due to underfunding --> low budget spacecraft and the engineers who designed these craft did the best they could with what they had to work with.
The bravery of these 7 to even get into one of these thing's deserves much more than name calling or pointing to terrorist activity as the reason for the incident.
This was a clear mechanical failure , there are already pictures of the cause.
These guy's know this can happen yet they get in these bomb's and ride them into history.
That is bravery above and beyond the call of duty.
there is no way out when landing that is survivable.from the pictures it looks as if a leakage or even a small explosion occured , this could have loosened a few of the tiles.
moisture could have then entered between the tiles and the supportive structure.
after the craft entered into the sub freezing temperatures of space the moisture froze and expanded this caused even further loosening of even more tiles.
upon re-entry these tiles failed to protect the supportive structure and then further damage occured to the ( ALUMINUM ) air frame.
there might have been some damage to the hydraulic lines that carry pressurized fluid to the mechanics of the control surfaces.
once control surfaces are lost there is no hope of slowing a mark 6 approach, it is only look at each other and know the outcome and remember your loved one's and remember that you knew there was a chance that this could happen, but you had the courage to do it anyway.
