Not much chance of you trying to convince us with the writings of 'Nancy Pearcey' saying: "Finally, [intelligent] design is a winner with the public because she has a scientific research program that actually makes sense to ordinary people.?"
Her adding ..(intelligent) design....-: is a real red herring you have fallen for. Substituting 'God
designed ....for intelligent design, only confuses your religious thinking even further.Science, matter, the universe, chemistry, even DNA, is exactly the only way it can be, in science ....because it is all built up from the immutable physical laws of the atom. Building blocks upon building blocks, little by little, taking aeons of time to advance throughout the Universe. Science is the only truth....We are a product of those natural laws. We are aware, just as the ameoba is aware in its habitat.
Life, and the Universe was not designed by an intelligent deity. But rather the slow combinations of the millions of physical laws that allow the world to be as it is.
There have been multi zillions of naturally bad physical combinations....of course we are not aware of those natures failings.....for we cannot exist as we are, within those failed limits. Prehaps we can only look up out and speculate upon the inhospitable stars, and failures, out there.
We are learning more of the truth every day, the truth of the laws of science.
Your truth is based upon the fairy storys and faiths of a time when we knew less, times of our thoughtful wonderment, rather than the scientific truths we are endeavouring to unravel today.I suggest you try to convince your Christian leaders of the compatability of God and Christianity with Science, before you try to
convert and combine scientists to your faith.
Try unifying the 200 different types of American Christianities out there, first.
Better, go preach to the fasted growing religion
in the world, the Moslems. You may feel better.I commiserate with your problem, since I realise that you and your Church are approx 1500 years too late. For you didnt listen to the scientists of old. 'The truth of Science, is the science of truth.'
