Then you have only proved that '' Santa Claus is a purple rhinoceros'' assuming that ''Santa Claus is a purple rhinoceros'' is a true statement

If proposition A is true, and if the statement ''A implies B'' is also true then it follows that B is true. This is called modus ponens.
